PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting device working without the use of elements of high breakdown voltage. SOLUTION: A capacitor C3 is charged via a resistor R2, and when its voltage rises above a fixed value, a trigger element Z1 reaches a break voltage and turns on a transistor Q1. Based on a feedback current from a parallel resonance circuit 13 and a current transformer CT, a high-frequency voltage is induced in an inverter circuit 12 and high-frequency lights a fluorescent lamp FL. When the inverter circuit 12 starts operation and a voltage higher than a prescribed value is induced in a detection winding Tr1c of an inverter transformer Tr1, a transistor Q2 is turned on and the capacitor C3 is no longer charged, thus the trigger voltage is no longer generated. |
