PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce ripple in output voltage and improve power efficiency, by connecting a full-wave rectification circuit and a choke-input type smoothing circuit with a secondary winding of a transformer and, with a switch connected in series with a primary winding of the transformer, conducting on-off control of the switch by a control circuit. SOLUTION: This DC-DC converter is constituted of a transformer 3a, first and second switches Q1, Q2, an output rectification circuit 4a, a choke-input type smoothing circuit 5a, a snubber-cum-power circuit 6a, a control circuit 8a, and capacitors C1, C2. The output rectification circuit 4a is made a center-tap full-wave rectification circuit and is constituted of respective first and second output rectification diodes Do1, Do2. It is thus possible to attain output voltage on the secondary side of the transformer 3a during both ON and OFF periods of the first switch Q1, thereby reducing ripple component and improving power efficiency.
