The torque transfer unit has an input shaft (3) that interacts with a rotor (15) as part of an electrical machine, a stator (17) concentric to the rotor, a torsion damper (1) between the input and output (35) shafts and a clutch with which the torque transfer between the shafts can be varied arbitrarily. The torsion damper has two mutually relatively movable centrifugal weights. A primary wt. (7) interacts with the input shaft and a secondary wt. (9) interacts with the output shaft. The clutch and/or torsion damper are arranged in an annular space bounded by the rotor/stator.
