摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily perform the air-fuel mixture formation by controlling an intake valve during intake stroke so that the valve is slightly opened at the start and/or end of valve opening time, and opened over the overall cross section in the remaining valve opening time. SOLUTION: An electromagnetic actuator 1 effectively connected to an intake valve 2 has an armature 3. A closing magnet 4 and an opening magnet 5 are attached to the armature 3. Electricity is alternately fed to each magnet 4, 5, whereby the armature 3 is reciprocated. A valve shaft 18 integrated to a holding disc 19 is moved against a return spring 7 by this motion of the armature 3 to open and close the intake valve 2. In the control to the electromagnetic actuator 1, the current-carrying is controlled so that the valve is slightly opened at the start and/or end of valve opening time, and opened over the full cross section in the remaining valve opening time. According to this, air-fuel mixture formation can be effectively performed to improve the output of an engine.
