PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize energizing force so as to restrain the dragging of a friction pad and the like by making a pad return spring elastically engage with its mounting member and the like. SOLUTION: Let a caliper 5 riding across both the sides of a disc D, be supported by a mounting member 1, and the respective arm parts 3 of the mounting member 1 support frictional pads 7 in such a way that they can be slid by way of pad parts 3A. In addition, pad return springs 11 are provided for the back metals 8 of the frictional pads 7, and their tip end engaging parts 17 are elastically engaged with the arm pads 3 or pad guide springs 10. This constitution thereby enables engaging force applied to the friction pads 7 from the pad return springs 11 in the returning direction to be stabilized, and also enables the dragging of the frictional pads 7 and the like to be lowered.
