PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more effectively cool a squish part of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This cylinder block water jacket 5 is formed in a cylinder block wall 4 and communicated with an upstream side opening part 1b and a downstream side opening part formed from a cylinder block upper surface 1a. An inlet side small bore and an outlet side small bore are formed on a gasket 6 arranged on the cylinder block upper surface 1a. A first cylinder head water jacket 10a and a second cylinder head water jacket 10b are formed on a cylinder head body 8. The second cylinder head water jacket 10a is a cooling passage, communicated with only the cylinder block water jacket 5 through the inlet side small bore and the outlet side small bore, and extends to a squish part 13.
