PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce adverse effect on the life of parts within a cycle and the generation of sound during the switching of the cycle, by enabling reduction in the sticking of foreign matters onto a four-way valve for switching a refrigerant passage as well as smooth switching of the valve while minimizing the frequency of switching the valve. SOLUTION: While employing a method of switching a four-way valve by sending an electrical signal once the valve is pressurized, the four-way valve is turned ON at the step S12 in the heating operation at the step S11 to switch a refrigerant passage to a heating cycle. Not in the heating operation, a shift is made to the step 13 to judge whether the cooling conditions are held or not and when the cooling conditions are held at the step 13, the valve is turned OFF at the step 14 or otherwise, a return is made to keep the valve ON. |
