PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable extension of an illuminating area of an illumination unit with an inexpensive and a simple structure. SOLUTION: This illumination unit 5 comprises a first and a second side part units 5B, 5C which are connected so as to be bendable to a central unit 5A and both edges 5Aa, 5Ab, respectively. The side part units 5B, 5C have bendable structure, respectively, composed of a plurality of bending members 5B1, 5B2, 5C1, 5C2 which can be freely bent. Bending angles of the side part units 5B, 5C to the central unit 5A and mutual bending angles between the bending members 5B1, 5B2, and between the bending members 5C1, 5C2 in the side part units 5B, 5C can be arbitrarily set. With this constitution, each of the side part units 5B, 5C is easily developped rearward of the front surface of the central unit 5A, and accordingly an extension of illuminating area is attained in the whole area of the illuminating unit 5.
