PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sort many sheets in sequence with multiple bin trays even when the bin trays are dedicatedly allocated to users by sorting many sheets in sequence with a specific number of bin trays on the discharge side if the specific number of bin trays are set on the discharge side of a user. SOLUTION: Bin trays are allocated to users by utilizing the set-up utility of a printer. First through fourth bin trays 1-4 are allocated to Mr. A as a group, and the remaining bin trays 5-8 are allocated to Messrs. B, C, D, E respectively. When the users utilize mail boxes, the mailboxes are operated based on the information stored in a NVRAM from a host computer via a printer driver, and the number of bin trays of mailboxes is retrieved. When two or more multiple bin trays are selected, the sortable information for the mailboxes is stored, i.e., the mailbox for Mr. A is sortable.
