ACTUATOR WITH DOUBLE COIL ROTATING TYPE

PURPOSE: An actuator with double coil rotating type is provided to accurately and quickly search a data track by arranging two coils between polarities of a voice coil motor(VCM) for enhancing a dynamic performance. CONSTITUTION: A rotating type magnetic disk(22) is supported on a spindle(26) and is rotated by a disk driver motor(30). A slider(24) is located on a disk(22), and supports a magnetic reading/recording head(34). The slider(24) is attached to a positioned arm(32) by a suspension(28). The suspension(28) provides a spring forth to a disk surface(36). The positioned arm(32) is attached to an actuator(42). A rotation of the disk(22) generates an air bearing between the slider(24) and the disk surface(36). A controller(46) generates a control signal such as a drive motor control signal of a line(38), a head position of the line(38) and a search control signal, for controlling an operation of a system. The control signal on the line(44) provides a current profile needed for transferring and placing the slider(24) to a desired data track.
