PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tulip contact having high safety without enlarging its outside diameter. SOLUTION: Each of first recessed parts 21b and second recessed part 22b making pairs has the nearly same width as a thickness of plural contact pieces 3 while engaging with the plural contact pieces 3. Thereby, attitudes of the respective contact pieces 3 are kept constant so that the contact pieces 3 are prevented from oscillating in the peripheral direction of a second rod 12. Second cutouts 32 are respectively provided near both ends and at the central part of each the contact pieces 3 by threes (the same number as the contact pieces 3 engaging with a pair of the first recessed part 21b and the second recessed part 22b) so that three second cutout groups are formed. One of the three second cutouts 32 constituting the respective second cutout groups has a shallower depth than the other two second cutouts 32.
