The invention provides hair styling compositions comprising: (i) from 0.1% to 10% by weight, based on total weight, of a non-rigid emulsion polymerised cross-linked silicone polymer, in which the percentage of branched monomer units in the silicone polymer is from 0.05% to 10%; (ii) from 0.1% to 10% by weight, based on total weight, of a hair styling polymer; (iii) from 0.01% to 5% by weight, based on total weight, of a nonionic surfactant having an HLB value of at least 14.5; (iv) water; and (v) from 0% to 30% by weight, based on total weight, of an aerosol propellant. The compositions are typically in the form of an aerosol hair styling mousse or a hair styling cream or gel and provide excellent style creation as well as sensory feel.
