PURPOSE: A shifting device of dual functions is provided to prevent up and down shifting motion of a driver in a manual shifting, to enlarge freedom of a pass design in a manual mode and to operate the manual mode pass according to the motion of the driver. CONSTITUTION: An automatic mode path(10) equipped on an automatic transmission shift range is engaged at right angle with a manual mode path(20). The manual mode path comprises a transverse path(21) converting the automatic and manual mode paths; a first path(22) shifting according to manipulation of a select lever(30); and a second path(23) forming a specific angle with the first pass. An elastic member(24) returning the select lever and a sensor(25) detecting a motion of the select lever are installed on ends of the first and second paths. A ledge(26) hanging the select lever and a sensor(27) detecting the select lever are mounted on an engage unit between the transverse path and the manual mode path. Moreover, an ECU(Electronic Control Unit) has a control instrument finishing a shift command in a specific time.
