<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ETC (automatical toll collecting) system by which false data recorded in on-vehicle equipment is easily discovered. SOLUTION: An automatic charge collecting system capable of preventing the illegal usage of the automatic charge collecting service of a toll road is provided with a summing-up device 15 changing-over a stamp by proper time interval and issuing it and lane machines 12 and 13 in respective tollgates discovering an illegality in data recorded in on-vehicle equipment 26. Each lane machine (12 and 13) is provided with radio communication equipment 25 adding the stamp to data to be transmitted to on-vehicle equipment 26 and transmitting it and a lane controller 22 collating the stamp included in reception data from on-vehicle equipment 26 with the issued one and identifying the existence of the illegality in data. The illegality of data recorded in on-vehicle equipment 26 is discovered by a difference in the stamps.</p> |
