[Also in Division H1] A radiation imaging device for mapping the distribution of radiation from an irradiating source comprises a discharge tube 70 (see Division H1) in which sparks are produced in a gas along the paths of photoelectrons emitted by a photocathode as a result of bombardment through a collimator byγrays or photons from a source 20. A recording camera 72 attached by a mounting latch 80 is focused in the gas in the tube, and a half-silvered mirror 74 projects the radiation image for visualization to a viewing hood 76 on which the camera shutter control 78 is mounted.</p> |
