PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure transmission quality, to provide a margin sufficient to reception power and to reduce the power consumption by controlling transmission power of a user channel in a transmission power control process and not controlling transmission power of a control channel. SOLUTION: A channel discrimination device 12-1 discriminates whether or not a reception channel is a C ch of this radio communication device and activates a level prediction device 6 connecting to an output of a reception level detector 5 in the case of the C ch, and stops the operation of the level prediction device 6 in the case that the reception channel is not the C ch. The level prediction device 6 predicts a propagation loss or the like depending on a transmission distance based on the reception power of the C ch to calculate a control variable of transmission power. Furthermore, when a channel discrimination device 12-2 discriminates a channel for succeeding transmission is a U ch, the device 12-2 operates a transmission power controller 8 and when the device 12-2 discriminates the channel is not the U ch, the device 12-2 stop the operation of the transmission power controller 8. Thus, the control variable is calculated based on the reception power of the C ch and the radio communication device 101 controls the transmission power of the U ch autonomously. |
