Computer controlled register stack processing method for optimizing compiler in computer

摘要

After transforming three operand instruction into less operand instruction, it is analyzed to determined lifetime information for pseudo-registers. A pop operation is inserted into reduced instruction depending on lifetime information. Then, operand references are transformed from pseudo registers to offsets in register stack to reference several stack registers. The target computer architecture includes an Intel compatible floating point unit. The pseudo-registers are mapped into register stack. An Independent claim is also included for apparatus having central processing unit and memory coupled to CPU.
