PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting device preventing deflection of a printed circuit board. SOLUTION: A first spacer 9a is interposed between a printed circuit board 4 and a case 5, in a position near the mounting region of a switching element 8 abutting on a side plate 5b of the case 5. A second spacer 9a is disposed between the printed circuit board 4 and the case 5, at the center of gravity A of the printed circuit board 4. This arrangement can relax a stress in the printed circuit board 4 produced when a heat radiating spring 7 is mounted and a deflection caused by the self-weight of the printed circuit board 4. |
