The knife sharpener has two or metallic knife sharpening slides (1) which can be magnetised with opposite poles. The slides can have an angled inlet (9) leading to a guide slit (7). The lower end of the slit forms a hair line gap (11). The slides can be adjustable mounted in a handle and retained by clamp bolts (5).
