<p>After I beta (( beta t to beta t-D+1) for (the number of states)x(data within truncation length) is calculated, the soft output outside the truncation length is calculated in order while I beta ( beta t-D to beta t-2D+1) for data outside the succeeding truncation length, and I beta for data within the next truncation length is calculated in order. Thus, a decoder (4) parallel calculates I beta within the truncation length and I beta ascended by the truncation length or more. Consequently the amount of calculation of I beta per clock is (the number of states)x2, meaning that the amount of calculation is fairly small, and leading to high-speed decoding.</p> |
