In one-piece tights (panty-hose) consisting of a body part prepared on a circular knitting machine in pendulum process, with a step-in opening extending in the tube length direction over a part of the length of the body part on a two circularly knitted stocking parts attached symmetrically to the two sides thereof, (i) a stretch strip is provided on either side of the step-in opening and running in the length direction of the tubular body part (ii) at least part of the stitch courses in this strip and produced by oscillation, having their end sections connected to the oscillation reversing positions, overlap there over a few wales (columns) so that more courses are present in the stretch strip than in the adjacent sections of the body part. Eliminates the tendency for the sides of the body part of the tights to slip over the hips of the wearer.
