PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the running cost as of an electrode for a plasma arc torch. SOLUTION: An electrode 5 is composed of two parts of an electrode rod 50 comprising Cu or a Cu alloy having a fixing part 50a to an electrode holder 4 fixed in a torch main body 1 and an electrode tip 51 having a core part 51a comprising a heat resisting metal or a heat resisting metal alloy. The electrode tip 51 is formed so as to be freely attachable and detachable to the tip end of the electrode rod 50 and to be capable of changing the electrode tip 51 only. The electrode 50 is formed in a cylindrical shape capable of inserting a cooling water pipe 6 and at the same time, a core part 51a is exposed on the inner surface of the electrode tip 51 contacting with a cooling medium from the cooling pipe 6 to improve the cooling capacity of the core part 51a. |
