Safety hook and swivel for fishing articles. A swivelling safety hook which is intended to be used as an intermediate positioning member for joining loops used in fishing articles is provided. It comprises a hook member and a safety member which together form an integral unit and another part which swivels with respect to the former, in that the hook member has one end provided with a housing to receive one of the loops and the safety member which is located at the front extends its arms, each of which are provided with a helicoidal loop, to provide a spring effect with the free ends of both the arms being both rolled to form a helicoidal junction in which the said swivelling member is housed, into the ring of which the other loop is set. In accordance with an alternative embodiment, the free end of the hook member can be housed in the helicoidal junction between the arms of the safety member and be provided with an anchor ring as a replacement for the said swivelling member. <IMAGE>
