FIELD: manufacture of coiled objects, in particular, equipment for unwinding elongate products from spools, bobbins etc. SUBSTANCE: braking device has plank with opening fixed on carriage of coiling machine and double-armed lever loosely mounted in opening. Longer lever arm is positioned on wire layer on spool. One end of spring is fixed on threaded shorter lever arm between two nuts and other end is secured on end of braking member. Spring tension extent (wire tension force) is adjusted by rotating finger on which other end of braking member is secured. Precise adjustment of permanent wire tension force is effectuated by moving nuts on threaded portion of lever shorter arm. EFFECT: increased efficiency by reduced production cost and enhanced reliability in adjustment of braking member tension force. 10 dwg
