The system uses voice activity to determine which participant should be displayed center screen.- DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The control for a multi-point video conference system includes a system (40) for creating a mosaic image consisting of N small images representative of the participant sites, and a main image of a contributing site which is of a larger size than the small images. The management system (34,36,38) is arranged to determine, at each instant during the course of the conference, the contributing site from amongst those taking part. The number of small images may be less than or equal to 12, with the main image displayed centrally and the smaller images displayed around the edge of the screen.Selection of the contributing site is determined by voice activity for specific sites
