A residual quantity indication printer of a betting ticket for horse racing and a residual quantity indication print method of a betting ticket for horse racing using the printer are provided to display the residual quantity of betting tickets for horse racing before the betting tickets reach an end portion of a betting ticket printer. A digital inkjet printer(20) is installed at an upper portion of a feeding unit. In the process of identifying a sensor, the digital inkjet printer identifies a sensor mark printed in black color at an outer portion of a gold and red line in both edges portions which are placed at a certain length from the ends of a printed betting ticket for horse racing. The printer prints out an initial residual indication mark, which indicates a certain length residual from the end of the betting tickets, with UV ink.
