A sectional building, eg conservatory, has outer uprights (2) with their top ends linked to roof supports (3) by adjustable joints (4). This enables the erector to set the required roof pitch. The joints comprise fingers with a circular grip onto a tubular cross strut (5), which forms the upper edge of the structure. The structure can be secured directly to a wall (1) of a building via the ends of the roof struts, or can be linked to uprights secured to the wall of the building with a second line of joints. The joints comprise short profiles which have a press fit into the ends of the tubular struts.
