Fine, bulk dry solid goods are transferred from one pressurized vessel to another via a gas lock (1) formed by a rotating paddle wheel (3) within an outer housing (2). The paddle wheel has descending and ascending vanes (12). A spring-mounted blade (9) is directed from a recess (7) in the housing wall, and scrapes the rising paddles free of dry residues which might damage the sealing plate (15).
