A positive temperature coefficient (PTC) device 2 expands upon temperature increase and in order to maintain a good thermal contact between the PTC device and a ceramic/metallic heat sink 5 a dielectric thermally conductive elastic heat transfer body 4 is provided. The elastic body may have a heat conducting donor suspended therein or may have an adhesive outer surface. The elastic body may fully enclose the PTC device or may be provided in rings around the device.
