PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, inexpensive and highly reliable rotary magnetic disc drive exhibiting compatibility of a high capacity FD and a downward FD through identical circuitry. SOLUTION: A drive circuit has two circuits dedicated respectively, to a high capacity FD and a downward FD. Consequently, a motor is driven selectively through separated servo circuit parts 29a, 29b depending on the r.p.m. thereof and the motor characteristics can be varied by dividing the coil groups on the stator core and selecting the series or parallel connection thereof depending on the r.p.m. of the motor. |
