A wall module for a wagon body has a frame between an outer cover layer (6) and an inner cover layer (7), said frame being made up of intersecting framework members (8, 9). Heat insulation (12) is provided in the hollow spaces (11) between the framework members (8, 9). In order to make the wall module especially resistant to buckling, particularly in the longitudinal direction of the wagon body, several continuous framework members consisting of a material with a greater elastic modulus than that of the cover layers (6, 7) extend in the longitudinal direction of the wagon body.
