PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrode for an electric double layer capacitor wherein a joint strength between an electrode and a current-collecting plate is stronger, a resistance value at a joint part is lower, and it is applicable to a thin electrode. SOLUTION: A PVDC(polyvinylidene chloride) resin 2 is applied on a current- collecting plate 1 in sheet, a PVDC carbide powder 31 carbonized at 180-450 deg.C is applied or deposited over it, which is sintered at 600-900 deg.C to provide an electric double layer capacitor electrode 32. A solvent obtained by dissolving the PVDC2 is preferred to be applied on the current-collecting plate 1, while as for the current-collecting plate 1, such gas impermeable carbide as its surface is physically roughened is preferred. |
