PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a herbicide capable of controlling weeds belonging to the genus Echinochloa without polluting or disrupting environment by including a specific microorganism belonging to Exserohilum pedicellata as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This herbicide contains a microorganism belonging to the genus Exserohilum pedicellata, having pathogenicity to plants belonging to the genus Echinochloa and having no pathogenicity to plants belonging to the genus Oryza, e.g. JT-1043 fungal strain (FERM BP-6086), JT-1044 fungal strain (FERM BP-6087), JT-1045 fungal strain (FERM BP-6088) or the like as an active ingredient. The herbicide is capable of deadening a plant of the genus Echinochloa or suppressing the growth and controlling the plant by soil mixing treatment. |
