The tubes (10) terminate in a collector plate (18) which is joined to a box (20) and an internal wall (22) to form input and output chambers (24,26). The internal wall (22) is first attached to the box (20) by crimping and the collector plate (18) is then fixed to the internal wall (22) by punching and deformation, before the final brazing stage.
