Safety cockpit for light aircraft

The fibre reinforcement of the cockpit side wall (2) is connected to a steel tube frame (3) to partially or completely envelop it. The steel tube frame is of round section construction and located on the inner side of the cockpit canopy edge. To increase the radius of the interface area, rigid expanded plastic moulded elements are glued to the steel tube frame parallel to the longitudinal axis, and these elements are enveloped on all sides by the fibre layers.
