PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for distributing information with which information can be distributed while being dynamically reflected with taste for each user. SOLUTION: A control part 12 compares the taste of this user in movies at strength 1 with all the movies. The control part 12 finds an absolute value |Δ|of difference for each attribute such as action or SF and calculates this total value Sum. The controller 12 calculates the total value Sum concerning all the moves and sorts them in order from the small total value Sum as the high correlative degree of taste of the user at strength 1. Similarly to strength from 2 to 5, the control part 12 sorts the movies having the high correlative degree in the taste of every strength. The control part 12 sorts the items of information providable to the user successively from the high coincident degree (correlative degree coefficient) of taste and extracts them from a data base 13. The control part 12 transmits the extracted information through an information distribution part 15 to terminal equipment 20.
