The video production system (10) for creating video images of a miniature target vehicle includes a miniature vehicle (14), a first wireless transmitter (38), and a first wireless receiver (36) operatively coupled to the miniature vehicle configured to control movement of the miniature vehicle in response to signals received from the first wireless transmitter. A video camera (66) mounted to the miniature vehicle (14) generates video images of the miniature target vehicle while a camera controller (52) controls movement of the video camera. The invention (10) includes a second wireless transmitter (102) and a second wireless receiver (104) configured to control movement of video camera (66). A video recorder (120) coupled to the video camera (66) records images generated by the video camera. Movement of the miniature vehicle (14) and movement of the video camera (66) are controlled in real time in response to the video images displayed on a display device (128) so that optimal video images of the miniature target vehicle are obtained.
