PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of irradiating an optical disk, even in an optical pickup where plural object lenses mutually tilted to each other are arranged, which method allows the optical beam to irradiate the optical disk in an optimum condition by automatically correcting the tilt angles by the respective object lenses in the optimum conditions. SOLUTION: A signal processing section 45 detects the focusing conditions and tracking control conditions of the optical beam irradiating the optical disk 35 by electric signals transferred from photodetectors 43, 44 and the switching conditions of the object lenses and transmits control signals to the optical pickup driver 46 so that the optical beam irradiates the optical disk 35 in a specified condition. By this, the driving of object lenses in the optical pickup 47, switching of object lenses in accordance with the types of the optical disks 35 mounted on the optical disk device and correction of the tilt angles of object lenses caused by a tilt correcting means are controlled. |
