PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject fiber product excellent in washing and wearing properties, shape retainability, shrink resistance, flexing abrasion resistance, touch and visual appearance by imparting a specific cyclic urea compound to the sewed product of a cellulosic fiber-containing fabric and subsequently processing the product with formaldehyde in the presence of a catalyst in a gas phase. SOLUTION: This method for producing a cellulosic fiber-containing fiber product comprises imparting a cyclic urea compound having two or more active hydrogen atoms capable of being converted into methylol groups, such as ethylene urea, preferably in an amount of 0.5-5wt.% to a cell-ulosic fiber-containing fabric sewed product preliminarily subjected to a stone-washing treatment or a biological washing treatment and subsequently processing the sewed product with formaldehyde in the presence of a catalyst such as Al-Cl3 in a gas phase. |
