The carrier card includes a miniature chip card which is removably inserted in a reception window, whereby the miniature chip card is held in the reception window solely through the design of its edge cross-sections and the design of the corresponding edge cross-sections of the reception window. The reception window and the miniature chip card comprise both a trapezoid cross-section in a longitudinal, as well as in an orthogonal direction of the carrier card, whereby the orientation of the trapezoid cross-section in longitudinal direction is opposite the orientation of the trapezoid cross-section in the orthogonal direction. The reception window consists preferably exclusively of asymmetrical trapezoid cross-sections.
