PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device to form a stable and high image quality, by making the flowing-in of a single-component developer to a nip adequate. SOLUTION: While the ratio of the magnetic forceαof a trimming pole N2 provided to the mug roll 25 of a developer carrier 20, and the magnetic forceβof a magnetic pole S2 provided neighboring at the upstream side of the trimming pole, is made 1.8<=α/'<=4, the magnetic forceβof the magnetic pole S2 provided neighboring to the upstream side of the trimming pole N2 is made 30mT<=β<=70mT. The magnetic pole S2 provided neighboring at the upstream side of the trimming pole N2 is arranged to exist within a developing housing, and to make the angleθmade with the trimming pole N2:30 deg.<=θ<=120 deg.. |
