PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gretchen convenient to mount on a glass and efficient to form which improves the strength of itself and the protection and sealing of the glass and a multilayered glass with the gretchen convenient and efficient to handle and mount on a sash which results in its appearance quality to be kept for a long time. SOLUTION: A gretchen 1 is used to encircle the peripheral face and the end face of a glass plate, a laminated glass or a multilayered glass. It has a sectionally almost U-shaped hard and/or semihard mainframe 2 to encircle the peripheral face and the end face and a sectionally almost U-shaped hard and/or semihard seal 3 provided at both ends on the opening side of the sectionally almost U-shaped mainframe 2. The sectionally almost U-shaped seal 3 is at least softer than the sectionally almost U-shaped mainframe 2. In an integration area where the sectionally almost U-shaped mainframe 2 faces the sectionally almost U-shaped seal 3, a protrusion 9 on the surface of the sectionally almost U-shaped seal 3 to be wrapped into a recess 10 in the surface of the sectionally almost U-shaped mainframe 2 is held and fitted therein and integrated therewith.
