Described are allyl esters of 2-norbornane acrylic acids and 2-norbornylidene propionic acids defined according to the generic structure: <IMAGE> wherein the wavy line represents a carbon-carbon single bond or a carbon-carbon double bond; wherein one of the dashed lines is carbon-carbon single bond and the other of the dashed lines is a carbon-carbon double bond; and wherein R represents methyl or hydrogen; as well as methods for augmenting or enhancing the aroma of consumable materials including perfumes, colognes and perfumed articles.
