PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper which fits well, is less stimulative for skin, and can be formed easily. SOLUTION: This disposable diaper 1 is the unfolding type and has a liquid permeable upper surface sheet 2, a liquid impermeable rear surface sheet 3, and a liquid retaining absorbent 4 between the upper surface sheet 2 and the rear surface sheet 3, and a pair of fastening tapes 10 at right/left sides of the back part B of the diaper. The fastening tapes 10 are made of an ethylene-α- olefin copolymer whose permanent strain is not higher than 50% and whose hysteresis ratio is not higher than 5.0.
