摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of laser oscillation by mounting capacitors for electric discharge between main discharge electrodes and between preliminary discharge electrodes on the side face of one main discharging electrode to lower the inductances in discharge circuits. SOLUTION: A flat plate electrode 10 serving as the cathode of main discharge electrodes is mounted on a laser tube 1. Preliminary ionizing pins 12 are planted in parallel on the flat electrode 10 so as to face preliminary ionizing pins mounted on peaking capacitors 18 with specified spacings around a laser beam axis. A hold plate 14 is supported with support columns 13 at the four corners of the flat electrode 10. An Ernst type electrode 17 serving as the anode of the main discharge electrodes is mounted below the hold plate 14. The peaking capacitors 18 are directly fixed by conductive screws to both sides of the Ernst electrode 17 with their own electrodes facing sideways to the orientation of the main discharge electrodes 10 and 17.
