摘要 This publication considers a method for the manufacture of glue-laminated wood elements, in which, among other things, production costs are lower than normal, the new profile, for example, allowing cracks in the timber material during machining to be eliminated. The invention relates to a glue-laminated wood element 6, glued together from wood profile sections 4, which element can be used, among other things as a timber block, as a glued wooden beam and as a solid wood sheet. Timber with solid wood thickness, for example, is used as timber material for profile sections. The timber is sawn on two opposite sides so that one saw line lies close to the outer surface 1a of the timber and acts as evaporation and plane surface during the treatment process. The second saw line lies closer to the timber core 1b and acts as a surface that accumulates cracks during drying. The plank that has been sawn in this way is planed to profile section shape 4, in which one side is convex 4a and the other side is concave 4b. In planing the plank cracks are removed, and the timber is carefully utilised. Profile sections 4 are glued together and in this way a timber element 6 is formed in which the tongue on the upper side and the cavity on the lower side act as guide surfaces and as reinforcements, and form the top side and underside of the planed block. A glue-laminated wood element 6 manufactured according to this method is more advantageous and solid that an element produced by traditional methods, and because the timber element is the right size cracking and distortion are avoided. <IMAGE>
