The dephaser includes a series of cells which are configured in pi-formation (15,19) and perform a phase delay. These are each connected to a series of T-formation cells (16,20) which perform a phase advance. The cells are coupled together via voltage-controlled switches (21-24). Control of two of the switches (21,22) allows addition of two signals which are derived from different channels (25,26). The resultant vector signal is then phase shifted. The switches are formed from dual grid transistors, with the capacitance of the first grid integrated into the corresponding pi-type cell. Several dephasers can be mounted in parallel to provide a multiple dephaser. The circuits may be formed using an integrated circuit with GaAs implementation.
