PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to form color filters having high quality at a low cost. SOLUTION: A black layer 1 is formed of black photosensitive ink (1) and is exposed and developed by using a photomask to form black matrix parts 1a and parts 1b to be formed with color pixels (2). Next, color patterns 2 to 4 of red, green and blue are formed on the surface formed with the black matrix parts (3) to (5). At this time, the respective patterns are so formed as to partially overlap on the black matrix parts and, therefore, alignment is easy and the drop-outs are not formed.
