PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the graininess of an image by interposing a nonphotosensitive intermediate layer between adjacent silver halide emulsion layers and by incorporating a dye absorbing a spectrum in the same region as the absorption spectrum of the color sensitivity into the intermediate layer. CONSTITUTION:At least two silver halide emulsion layers having the same color sensitivity and different photographic sensitivities are formed on a supporting body and a diffusible DIR compd. is incorporated into one of the adjacent emulsion layers closer to the supporting body. A nonphotosensitive intermediate layer is interposed between the adjacent emulsion layers and a dye absorbing a spectrum practically in the same region as the absorption spectrum of the color sensitivity is incorporated into the intermediate layer. Thus, the diffusion of the diffusible DIR compd. from the low sensitivity layer to the high sensitivity layer is prevented to eliminate the adverse effect of the DIR compd. on the high sensitivity layer. The deterioration of the graininess of an image is prevented. |
