PURPOSE: To provide the outdoor unit for an air conditioner in which a synthetic resin cover is fixed with a reinforcing plate made of a steel plate by a screw and can be rigidly fixed. CONSTITUTION: Mounting holes 5b are provided at the both sides of a front cover 5 made of synthetic resin, insertion holes 4a are provided at a rear cover 4 made of synthetic resin corresponding to the holes 5b, locking holes are provided, and locking pawls 6a are provided at one sides of reinforcing plate 6 made of steel plate and a second reinforcing plate 6 corresponding to the locking holes, locked, and threaded holes 6b are provided at one side of the plate 6 corresponding to the holes 5b and 4c. Thus, the holes 6b are engaged by the holes 5b and the screws 7 inserted to the holes 4c, thereby fixing the covers 4, 5 to the plates 6 and the second plates 6. |
